Job Title: Continental Chef

Department: Kitchen/Culinary

Reports To: General Manager

Job Summary: As a Continental Chef, you will be responsible for creating and presenting a wide range of continental dishes, following to our hotel’s standards of quality and excellence. You will play a key role in menu development, kitchen management, and ensuring guest satisfaction through exceptional culinary experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and prepare high-quality continental dishes, including but not limited to, Italian, French, and Spanish cuisines.
  • Collaborate with the Kitchen team in menu development and planning, incorporating seasonal ingredients and modern culinary trends.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with attention to health and safety standards.
  • Manage kitchen inventory, ensuring the availability of necessary ingredients and the proper storage of food items.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to minimise waste and optimise food cost.
  • Conduct regular quality checks on ingredients and finished dishes to ensure they meet the hotel’s standards.
  • Provide exceptional dining experiences by adapting offerings to meet dietary restrictions and preferences as requested by guests.
  • Participate in the preparation of special events and culinary demonstrations.

    Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional qualification in culinary arts.

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-end hotel or fine dining establishment.

  • Extensive knowledge of continental cuisine with the ability to innovate and present creative dishes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • A deep understanding of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage a diverse team in a fast-paced environment.

  • A passion for culinary excellence and a commitment to continuous learning and development.

Job Summary: The Hotel Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our Hotel & Spa operations, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction, efficient management of hotel services, and the achievement of our business objectives. This role demands a dynamic leader who excels in multitasking, has a passion for hospitality, and is committed to providing an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage hotel operations, including guest services, housekeeping, spa services, food and beverage, maintenance, and front desk operations, to ensure outstanding guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategies aimed at promoting the hotel’s mission and overall profitability while maintaining the highest standards of service.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with guests, addressing their needs and feedback promptly to ensure a memorable stay.
  • Monitor the hotel’s financial performance, prepare budgets, and control expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous standards of cleanliness, health, and safety throughout the hotel and spa facilities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and packages that enhance the hotel’s visibility and attractiveness.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality services at cost-effective prices.
  • Handle guest complaints and resolve issues efficiently to maintain high levels of guest satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience in hotel management, with a proven track record of success in a similar role, preferably in a hotel and spa environment.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and multitasking skills.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation and the ability to handle stressful situations with grace and professionalism.
  • In-depth knowledge of hotel/spa operations, financial management, and marketing strategies.
