ROOMS AND ROOM BOOKINGS

What time is check in and check out?

Check in is from 3pm, but you are more than welcome to arrive earlier, and use the hotel facilities. If you do require your room earlier than this (for example, to attend a wedding), then please contact the hotel directly. We will do our best to accommodate your request but can not guarantee that we will be able to make the room available for you. 

Check out is by 11am on the day of departure. Late check outs are available, but these need to be arranged in advance, and there is an additional charge depending on the time you wish to depart.

Can I make any special requests for my stay?

Yes, you are very welcome to make special requests (such as for a special occasion), and we strongly advise that you do this directly with the hotel when you make your booking.

If you do require anything at all to make your stay more comfortable, such as extra beds or something specific, please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Are there disabled rooms available with wheelchair access and/or a separate shower cubicle?

Unfortunately, we do not have any Accessible rooms for disabled guests. We do have rooms that are on the ground level, and ramps to enable wheelchair users to enter and exit the main building.

Do you have any ground floor bedrooms?

Some of our standard double rooms are located on the ground floor and can be accessed via our second car park and up one step. Please note to gain access to the main hotel from these rooms there are either via five flights of stairs back to reception or via the path running around the back of the hotel.

Is the hotel dog friendly?

No, unfortunately this hotel is not dog-friendly.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE

What does breakfast consist of?

We offer a continental breakfast buffet, with a wide selection of items, for example: cereal, fresh fruits, smoked salmon, cheeses as well breads and pastries. You can include this in your room rate when booking your room, or decide on the day. The cost of our breakfast is just £10.00 per person.

Breakfast service times are:- Monday to Friday – 7am to 9.30am, Saturday/Sunday and Bank Holidays 7am to 10.30am.

At present, we do not offer a cooked breakfast offering, but it is something that we are looking at implementing soon!

Can I reserve a table for dinner in advance?

Yes, and we would always advise booking in advance. You can book a table through the Food & Drink link on our website, or by contacting the hotel directly. Tables are available in both our Artistry and Peak Brasserie restaurants.

SPA

Can I use the spa if I haven’t got a treatment booked?

Unfortunately due to the limited capacity of the spa we are unable to allow access without a treatment booking.

OUTDOOR SWIMMING POOL

Is the pool open all year round?

The pool is open all year around but seasonal hours do apply. Please contact the hotel to enquire prior to booking.

Adults only pool?

Our outdoor swimming is adult only, 18 years and above except during school holidays where we allow children over the age of 14 to use the pool under the supervision of a parent or guardian between the hours of 4pm and 5pm. Please do check before arriving as these times can change occasionally.

Is the outside pool heated?

Our outdoor swimming pool is a spring fed pool and naturally sits at around 18 to 20 degrees. It is fed from a spring in the hill just behind the hotel, and is pure mineral water, geothermically heated. We do not heat the pool nor do we add any chemicals to the water.

Is there a charge for residents to use the pool?

No, our pool is free to use for all guests staying with us and residents do not need to pre book a swim time.

GENERAL QUESTIONS

Cashless?

We are now cashless at the hotel. 

Is there storage for bicycles?

Yes, we can store bicycles securely.

Can you get to the hotel on public Transport?

Yes, you can get to the hotel via public transport, there is a train station in Matlock Bath as well as bus stops directly outside.

Is there car parking available?

Yes, there is ample free parking available on site.
